The planning, negotiation, and contracting for international engagements at MIT are overseen by two offices:
- Research Administration Services (RAS) within the Office of the Vice President for Research (VPR)
- Office of Strategic Alliances and Technology Transfer (OSATT), a unit in the Provost’s Office
Both RAS and OSATT also coordinate negotiations with other Institute offices, such as the Office of the General Counsel (OGC) and the Office of the Vice President for Finance (VPF), as well as work with PIs and DLCIs to keep them informed and engaged during the planning, negotiation, and contracting process.
